Weekly Road and Traffic Report for the Week of October 21 – 27
For the Week of October 21 – 27:
- NW Colorado Avenue between NW Arizona Avenue and NW Lava Road for power pole replacements, single lane closure with lane shift, work to occur during nighttime hours, Oct. 22 – 25, 7 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
- NW Fifth Street between NW Portland Avenue and NW Ogden Avenue for service installations, full road closure with detour, Oct. 21 – 25.
- NW Franklin Avenue between NW Wall Street and NW Broadway Street for water service installation, shoulder and bike lane closure, Oct. 22 – 25.
- Street Preservation – Various higher order Streets within Bend will have pavement markings (striping & legends) completed. Full street closures with limited local access only during its duration, with some flagging as well (expect delays). Oct. 21 – 25 (weather dependent). Learn more at the Street Preservation webpage.
- NW Riverside Boulevard between Galveston Bridge and NW Broadway Street will have nighttime road closures, Oct. 21 – 24.
- NE Reed Market Road between Brookswood Boulevard and Highway 97 (parkway) will have nighttime road closures, Oct. 21 – 25.
- NE Butler Market Road between Highway 20 and BNSF railroad, full nighttime closure including offramp from highway, Oct. 21 – 22.
- NW Ninth Street between NW Trenton Avenue and NW Saginaw Avenue, full nighttime closures, Oct. 23.
- NW 12th Street between NW Iowa Avenue and NW Trenton Avenue, full nighttime closures, Oct. 23 for legends markings. Daytime striping occurs on Oct. 21 under single lane closures.
- NE Division Street between NE Revere Avenue and NE Third Street, full nighttime closure, Oct. 22. Daytime striping occurs on Oct. 21 under single lane closures.
- NE Bear Creek Road between NE Franklin Avenue and NE 15th Street, daytime single lane closure with flagging, Oct. 21.
- Deschutes Market Road between NE Yeoman Road and Butler Market Road, daytime single lane closure with flagging, Oct. 21.
- Brosterhous Road between SE Third Street and Alstrup Road for infrastructure improvements, single lane closures with lane shifts, Sept. 24 – Oct. 22.
- SE Daly Estates Drive between SE Capella Place and SE Reed Market Road for a sewer main installation, full road closure with local access only, Sept. 9 – Oct. 18.
- SW Century Drive between SW Simpson Avenue and SW Colorado Avenue for a mini roundabout construction, full road closure with detour, Sept. 9 – Nov. 15.
- Awbrey Butte Waterline Improvements Project, Phase 2 – This project will provide water distribution system upgrades to the Awbrey Butte area with eight interrelated water improvement subprojects. For more information, visit the Awbrey Butte Waterline Improvements Project website.
- Saginaw Avenue from West Hills Road to Juniper Street: Intermittent Closure under flagging.
- Trenton Avenue from Juniper Street to 12th Street: Intermittent closures under flagging.
- Portland Avenue from Awbrey Road to Steidl Road: Single Lane closure under flaggers for franchise utility (GAS) work.
- Midtown Crossing Project (Second Street work) – A multiphase project that will replace the water main from Greenwood Avenue to Franklin Avenue in preparation for the full reconstruction occurring next spring. Phase 2 – 4 occurs from Oct. 21 – Spring 2025. Northbound lane closure with local access will occur in its entirety. Current road section work listed below.
- Second Street between NE Irving Avenue and NE Greeley Avenue.
- NW Harriman Street between NW Kearney Avenue and NW Greenwood Avenue for infrastructure work associated with the Deschutes County Courthouse, full road closure, began July 24
Future Road Closures:
- SW Simpson Avenue between SW 18th Street and SW 15th Street will have infrastructure installations, single lane closure with flagging, Oct. 28 – Nov. 1.
- The intersection of SE Parrell Road and SE Rae Road will have infrastructure work and paving, three-way flagging at the intersection, Oct. 28 – Nov. 1, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Work schedules are dependent on weather conditions and other factors. Always exercise increased caution within construction zones. Drivers should use designated detour routes. Nearby residential streets are for local traffic only.
Any road closure not listed within this report, please submit a service request to notify the city of any potentially unpermitted work within City right of way. Please visit the Transportation and Mobility Department to submit.
