Reed Market Road Construction
Starting Tuesday, August 18, Reed Market Road will be open to two-way traffic between the new American Lane Bridge and Third Street.
From the new American Lane Bridge to the 15th Street roundabout, traffic will continue east bound only.
The rest of the Reed Market Road project is expected to continue as follows:
In approximately mid-September, (schedules depend on railroad work), there will be a temporary, full closure of Reed Market between the new American Lane Bridge and 9th. Eastbound traffic will be diverted north on Paiute/Centennial to Wilson or south on American Lane. During this time, it would be best to avoid Reed Market. This phase could last up to 10 days. Eastbound will resume on Reed Market as soon as the railroad crossing is done.
Opening Reed Market to two-way traffic between new American Lane Bridge and 15th – which signifies the completion of this entire project – is still scheduled for November.
The City is currently considering options for reducing traffic congestion on Wilson Avenue. Implementation of best options will be completed as soon as possible.
