Parking 101

This month we want to share answers and direction to some of the most frequent questions we receive.

How to park the right way in angled spaces downtown!

• Always make sure that you park within all lines and that you don’t park beyond the end of the parking stall
• Parking Citations for “blocking the flow of traffic” will be issued if your vehicle is parked beyond the end of stall

Is it ok to back into a parking stall?

•  It is ok to back into a parallels or 90degree parking space.
• It is NOT ok to back into a angled parking space

Is there still free parking in Downtown Bend?

• Yes! All on-street parking on Downtown Bend has 2 hour free parking
• You have to move from the street to a parking lot or the garage after your 2 hours free parking are up
• Moving your car around the corner does not start another set of 2 hours free parking

Do I need a smartphone to pay for parking in Downtown Bend? 

• No. While using a mobile app is the most convenient way to pay to park in Downtown Bend, payments can also be made in cash or by Credit Card.
• Pay-Stations are available in the Garage and on the Lots for your cash or credit card payment.
