New Codes for Building Safety Division Permits

Effective July 1st, 2014, the following codes are adopted by the State of Oregon: 2014 Oregon Structural Specialty Code, 2014 Oregon Mechanical Specialty Code and the 2014 Oregon Energy Efficiency Specialty Code.

The State of Oregon is allowing a three month transition period for implementation of the new codes. This implementation period ends September 30th, 2014.  During this transition period, either the 2010 or 2014 version of the listed codes may be used.  Please list on your permit application which code you are intending to use.

Additionally, the following codes are scheduled for adoption October 1st, 2014: 2014 Oregon Electrical Specialty Code, 2014 Oregon Plumbing Specialty Code and the 2014 Oregon Residential Specialty Code.
