West Bend Forest Restoration Project burn set
The Forest Service is restoring 26,000 acres of forest adjacent to the City of Bend to improve forest health, create a diversity of plant and wildlife habitat and to protect our communities and quality of life.
As early as Saturday, April 12, the Forest Service plans to implement a prescribed burn on 234 acres near Phil’s Trailhead. The date of the burn may change based on weather conditions. This burn is one among many activities that will be taking place as part of the West Bend project over the next several years.
Visit the Forest Service webpage to learn more about the project, including an interactive map.
