Simpson/Mt. Washington Roundabout

The intersection of Simpson Ave. and Mt. Washington Dr. is scheduled to re-open to traffic on the evening of Friday, October 26, 2012. Rain or snow the remainder of the week may delay the opening.  Closure was required for the construction of a new roundabout, part of the voter-approved transportation General Obligation (G.O.) Bond program.

The community “thank you” bar-b-que originally scheduled for Friday has been posponed and will be rescheduled for a future date. 

The 2011 G.O. Bond measure authorized $30 million for seven separate projects which were selected based on known safety and congestion issues, geographic location, and the opportunity to provide local construction jobs.
