Design Concepts Selected

Following the results of the December 2023 Online Community Open House Survey, we have selected design concepts for the following:

• Roundabout at the Bear Creek Rd./Pettigrew Rd./Purcell Blvd. intersection design
• Bear Creek Rd. Key Route design
• 27^th St. Key Route design
• Larkspur/Coyner Trails connections design

December 2023 Open House Survey Results

Based on 262 responses, the survey revealed strong community support for enhancing pedestrian and bike connectivity. Residents emphasized the need for safer routes, particularly highlighting the dangerous conditions on Bear Creek Road. There was also positive feedback on the inclusion of water and sewer system upgrades. Some residents expressed concerns about potential traffic disruptions during construction and the overall cost of the project. A few respondents were worried that the improvements might not adequately address the existing traffic congestion issues, however the survey showed enthusiasm for the planned roundabout at the Bear Creek Road, Pettigrew Road, and Purcell Boulevard intersection to reduce high crash rates.

Project Schedule Update

Summer through Winter 2024:

• Further develop the design and details of selected improvements
• Utility coordination
• Right-of-way acquisition

Spring through Fall 2025:

• Construction
