Wilson Avenue Corridor Project Update – October 7, 2022

SAFETY FIRST

Safety continues to be of prime importance as construction crews continue to work in this corridor. We encourage motor vehicle traffic to drive at or below designated speed limits and be cautious of bicycle and pedestrian/student traffic. There are still a number of projects affecting traffic patterns throughout the City of Bend. Please slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE – Modernization of 9th Street to 15th Street 

October 10 through October 14

  • Landscape and irrigation work continues. 
  • Crews are prepping for nighttime paving scheduled for Monday, October 17 and Tuesday, October 18.

GENERAL PROJECT NOTES

Westbound traffic will be maintained on Wilson Avenue through October.  

Drivers will have full access, and no significant impacts are anticipated to 15th Street until early March 2023. Construction of the entire project corridor is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2023. 

  • Access to all area businesses along the construction area will be maintained.
  • Please do not enter the construction zone before, during, or after hours.
  • Daytime work hours are in effect from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
  • There are many construction projects in the area and throughout the City of Bend. Travel safely. 

PROJECT COMMUNICATIONS

  • Please help us in spreading the word to your clients, customers, and delivery personnel regarding detouring and closures. 
  • EMS, buses, and many other delivery/service providers have been included on this distribution list.
  • Share the project website information (provided below), where others can also sign up for updates.
