Wilson Avenue Corridor Project Update – August 19, 2022

SAFETY FIRST

Please avoid walking through the construction zone unless you are directed by a crew member. Unexpected pedestrians and vehicles can cause dangerous situations for themselves and also for project personnel by distracting and impacting their safety awareness while completing their tasks.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE FOR AUGUST 22 – AUGUST 26

Modernization of 9th Street to 15th Street 

• Crews will continue pouring sidewalks and driveways between Manley Place and Business Way. 
• Street excavation and curb work are ongoing. 
• Crews will be working on storm crossings and installing street light conduits. 
• Base rock will be placed in preparation for pouring sidewalks.

 Construction of the full project corridor is anticipated to be complete by the end of 2023.

GENERAL PROJECT NOTES

• Access to all area businesses along the construction area will be maintained.
• Please do not enter the construction zone before, during, or after hours.
• Daytime work hours are in effect from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
• There are many construction projects in the area and throughout the City of Bend. Travel safely. 

PROJECT COMMUNICATIONS

• EMS, buses, and many other delivery/service providers have been included on this distribution list.
• Please help us spread the word to your clients, customers, and delivery personnel regarding detouring and closures.
• Share the project website information (provided below), where others can also sign up for updates.
