Wilson Avenue Corridor Project Update – July 18, 2022

SAFETY FIRST

Wilson Avenue remains an active construction zone. Remember to slow down in construction zones and follow posted detour signs.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

9^th Street and Wilson Avenue:

• Crews will perform cleanup work around the 9^th Street and Wilson Avenue Roundabout.

Wilson Avenue:

• Work along Wilson Avenue will progress eastward to build improvements between 9^th Street and 15^th Street.  
• Improvements include modernization of the east side of 9^th Street to 15^th Street, including new sidewalks and bike lanes. 
• Eastbound traffic between 9^th Street and 1^5th Street on Wilson will be detoured at the end of July or early August. Access at 15^th Street and Wilson Avenue will be maintained through October.

Construction of the full project corridor is anticipated to be complete by the end of 2023.

GENERAL PROJECT NOTES

• Access to all area businesses along the construction area will be maintained.
• Please do not enter the construction zone before, during, or after hours.
• Daytime work hours are in effect from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

PROJECT COMMUNICATIONS

• EMS, buses, and many other delivery/service providers have been included on this distribution list.
• Please help us spread the word to your clients, customers, and delivery personnel regarding detouring and closures.
• Share the project website information (provided below), where others can also sign up for updates.
