Murphy Corridor Improvements Project Update – October 26, 2021

The opening of the Murphy Corridor extension, which includes the BNSF Railway Bridge Crossing & 15th Street to Brosterhous Road, is scheduled for Thursday, November 18! Please note the opening is weather-dependent.

Crews may be working Saturdays on the BNSF bridge overcrossing and Murphy Road extension.
Closure Next Week
Next week, a one-week full road closure will be in place on Brosterhous Road to vehicle traffic at the railroad crossing between Murphy Road and Knott Road. The project includes the installation of a shared-use path sidewalk for pedestrians and bikes under the railroad bridge that will connect to existing sidewalks to the north and south. Also included in the work is an extension of the sewer line within Brosterhous Road. To view a map and learn more, visit bendoregon.gov/murphyproject.
Construction Activities – Week of October 25
- Crews will continue sidewalk and railing work on the BNSF bridge.
- Construction crews will continue prepping and begin pouring overpass sidewalks on the Murphy Road extension.
- Landscape work will include the installation of irrigation on both sides of the Murphy Road Extension.
