Newport Corridor Improvements Project Update – September 17, 2021

Limited work at the 9th St roundabout will be performed on Saturday, September 9, 2021.

SAFETY FIRST

Due to a case of vandalism on the job site, Bend Police Department will be increasing its patrols in the neighborhood. If you see any suspicious activity, please notify Bend PD immediately.

As the concrete in the roundabout and sidewalks is poured, there is a specific cure time to meet City of Bend and ODOT standards. Our crews have established vehicle and pedestrian traffic control and detours for the safety of the public. If you were to access the site while the concrete is still curing, there is a risk of injury, and you may cause damage to your vehicle or personal property. Please follow all pedestrian and traffic detours around the work zone.

CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION KIOSK

This week the City’s informational kiosk will be at Newport Avenue Market, September 21. Stop by between 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM and meet with our team to answer any questions regarding this project. The last kiosk for the year will be October 5.
