Columbia Roundabout Improvements Project Update – August 26, 2021
SAFETY FIRST
The construction crew will remove traffic control devices by the end of the day on Friday, August 27, officially opening the roundabout for use. Final landscaping between the roadway and sidewalks will be ongoing. Please be aware of these activities.
As with all major road changes, approach the roundabout with additional awareness as drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians get familiar with the new roundabout.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
The opening of the roundabout is scheduled for the end of the day on Friday, August 27, 2021.
The completion of the intersection improvements at Colorado Ave. & Columbia St. and Simpson Ave. & Columbia St. is a major milestone for the City of Bend. These improvements will create a safer environment for all modes of travel and help accommodate the increasing demand on our system. Our project team’s hard work and dedication would be for nothing without the support and patience of the community. We would like to thank the residents and business owners of Bend for supporting our team throughout this project.
