Empire Corridor Improvements Project Update - July 15, 2021

Thank you for your interest in the Empire Corridor Improvements Project.

Construction equipment and safety features have been vandalized after hours this past week. This activity has been reported to the Bend Police Department.

Children, residents, bicyclists, drivers, and construction workers are at greater risk of injury when construction equipment has been vandalized and/or when traffic control devices are moved.
Please notify project team members or the City of Bend Police at their non-emergency phone line (541) 322-2960 if you see unauthorized individuals in the construction zone.

Please Stay Out of Work Zones and Away From Construction Equipment at All Times, Even When Work Is NOT Occurring

Construction areas are considered unsafe for yourself, children and pets.
Walk and bicycle in designated areas only.
Access to the construction area is limited to construction workers.
Do not remove barriers or warning signs, warning tape or fencing.
Do not drive over construction cones or barriers.
Daytime work hours are in effect from 7:00 AM-5:30 PM. Closures are in effect at all times.

NE Purcell Blvd between NE Butler Market Road and the NUID Canal is open for local traffic and residents only

This section of roadway is scheduled for completion by the end of the summer.

Please Use Detour Routs Around the Construction Zone

Detours in place during construction.
Construction is dependent on weather and other factors.
There are many construction projects in the area and throughout the City of Bend. Travel safely.
