Columbia Roundabout Improvements Project Update – July 15, 2021
SAFETY FIRST
There will be increased construction traffic over the next week with concrete mixer trucks and crews finishing the concrete. Please, allow for more distance in intersections, and some of the equipment requires a larger turning radius as they leave the construction site. Pedestrians should follow all designated detour paths and avoid crossing through the construction area.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Simpson Avenue/Columbia Street Scheduled Construction
Week of July 14–July 21
- A curb forming machine is used to form the new concrete curbs, gutters. Crews then shape and finish the ADA ramp and bike ramp access locations.
- The roundabout truck apron is being formed, creating the inner circumference of the roundabout roadway.
