Empire Corridor Improvements Project Update – July 1, 2021

Thank you for your interest in the Empire Corridor Improvements Project.

Fourth of July Schedule

• Construction Crews will be off July 2-5
• Work will resume Tuesday, July 6

Please Stay Out of Work Zones and Away From Construction Equipment at all Times, Even When Work is NOT Occurring 

• The construction area is considered unsafe for yourself, children and pets.
• Walk and bicycle in designated areas only.
• Access to the construction area is limited to construction workers.
• Do not remove barriers or warning signs, warning tape, or fencing.
• Do not drive over construction cones or barriers.
• Daytime work hours are in effect from 7:00 AM-5:30 PM. Closures are in effect at all times.

NE Purcell Blvd between NE Butler Market Road and the NUID Canal is open for local traffic and residents only.

• Base paving on NE Purcell Blvd is being completed this week. The traffic control will change slightly to facilitate construction. All local traffic will be shifted to the east.
• This section of roadway is scheduled for completion by the end of the summer.

Please Use Detour Routes Around the Construction Zone

• Detours are in place during construction.
• Construction is dependent on weather and other factors.
• There are many construction projects in the area and throughout the City of Bend. Travel safely.
