Newport Corridor Improvements Project Update – July 1, 2021
SAFETY FIRST
Safety is a construction site’s number one priority. When the job site is closed for the day, crew members close the access points, place barriers around open trenches, and store equipment. With the holiday weekend upon us, use designated pedestrian paths. For your safety, do not enter the work area. The Bend Police Department has been notified of recent entries and will be patrolling the area.
IMPORTANT UPDATES
- Due to continued forecasts of excess heat, working hours shall continue to be from 5:00 AM-3:30 PM until further notice.
- On July 5, there will be limited personnel on-site in observance of Independence Day
- Starting July 6 through July 9 on Newport Avenue from College Way to Juniper Street, flagging and temporary traffic control patterns will be in place for utility potholing.
CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION KIOSK
Due to continued forecasts of excess heat, the project kiosk had been placed on hold. Feel free to call or email with any questions regarding this project. We will send out a notice when we plan to return to Newport Market.
