Murphy Corridor Improvements Project Update – June 7, 2021

Thank you for your interest in the Murphy Corridor Improvements Project.

Murphy Road is now open between Country Club Drive and Parrell Road. All closures have been removed, and both westbound and eastbound travel lanes are open to vehicular traffic. Expect intermittent flagging as landscape work continues into June.

Construction Activities – Week of June 7

  • Following the erection of eleven concrete girders for the BNSF Railway bridge overcrossing last week, crews will begin constructing the Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) walls and backfill at the abutment on the west side of BNSF right of way. As the MSE retaining wall is built, construction crews will continue constructing the bridge structure and building the subgrade for the future Murphy Road extension connecting Brosterhous Road to 15th Street.
  • Landscape and irrigation work will continue along Murphy Road.
