Murphy Corridor Improvements Project Update – May 18, 2021

Thank you for your interest in the Murphy Corridor Improvements Project.

Construction Activities – Week of May 17

  • Paving of Murphy Road will begin Monday, May 17, and is expected to take 5-6 days. Extended hours and Saturday work may take place to expedite work and minimize paving days. One-way traffic will be maintained, east to west, on Murphy Road from Country Club Drive. Please do not attempt to access Murphy from Parrell or other side streets as it is currently closed and will be closed fully to two-way traffic. Crews will pave one-half of Murphy Road at a time. The order includes:
    1. Paving the north half of Murphy Road
    2. Paving the south half of Murphy Road
    3. Paving side streets and driveway
    4. Final lift paving north, south, then side street
  • Crews will continue prepping and pouring sidewalks.
  • Landscape and irrigation work will continue.

Crews will continue backfilling the second substructure “bent” unit supporting the BNSF bridge overcrossing.

An interactive map of closures and detours can be found online at www.bendoregon.gov/traffic.
