Murphy Corridor Improvements Project Update – May 8, 2020
Thank you for your interest in the Murphy Corridor Improvements Project.
Construction of a three-lane roadway with bike lanes, sidewalks, and safe crossings is currently underway between Country Club Drive to Brosterhous Road. Construction of this phase of the project is planned to be completed in August 2020.
Construction Activities for the Upcoming Week
- Hydro-seeding on the southwest corner of Murphy Road and Brosterhous
- Continued relocation of Cascade Natural Gas main facilities across Murphy and to the north
- Continued installation of sanitary sewer, water, and stormwater facilities
- Begin installation of below-ground power and telecommunication facilities on the south side of Murphy Road, beginning at Brown Trout Place and proceeding west
Construction Traffic Control
Brown Trout Place is open to right-in/right-out traffic. Please note, Brown Trout Place will be closed at Murphy Road again in June when westbound Murphy Road traffic is detoured.
Safety Tips for Drivers Passing Through Work Zones
- Drive carefully and slowly through the construction site
- Please obey the posted speed limits in the work zone area
- Keep an eye out for construction workers, their equipment, and vehicles
An interactive map of closures and detours can be found at www.bendoregon.gov/traffic.
