Weekly Construction Update – March 26, 2020

Thank you for your interest in the Murphy Corridor Improvements Project.

The Governor’s orders and local emergency orders have not put direct restrictions on construction activities. The Murphy Corridor Improvements Project is continuing on schedule, but our practices have changed due to required social distancing protocols.

Construction activities for the upcoming week include:

  • Utility work will continue on the east side of Murphy Road.
  • Streetlights will be installed.
  • Sidewalk work continues, and concrete will be poured.
  • Boulders and rock mulch will be installed.
  • Crews will be painting road stripes.

Changes to Construction Zones:

  • Please be prepared for intermittent flagging and other traffic control adjustments.
  • The Brosterhous roundabout will open the week of April 5th, ahead of schedule.
  • Construction work will continue through May 8th, outside of the traveled roadway, in the proximity of the Brosterhous roundabout.
  • Brown Trout Place will temporarily open at the same time as the Brosterhous roundabout. Please note Brown Trout Place will close again in June for construction activities related to the Murphy Corridor Improvements Project.

Current Road Closures:

  • Northbound and southbound traffic on Brosterhous Road remains closed at Murphy Road.
  • Brown Trout Place remains closed to traffic at Murphy Road.
  • A temporary two-lane bypass road remains open at the southwest corner of Brosterhous Road, connecting to Murphy Road to accommodate traffic around the construction area.

An interactive map of closures and detours can be found at www.bendoregon.gov/traffic
