NE Purcell Bridge to be Closed Until April 30 for Repairs, Safety Improvements, and Widening
The Purcell Blvd Bridge that crosses the North Unit Irrigation District main canal, north of NE Butler Market Rd and south of Empire Ave, will be closed for 2½ months starting February 17 through April 30. The closure is necessary to allow for bridge widening and other improvements. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will also be affected. Please follow the detour routes and stay clear of the construction zone.
Construction activities are scheduled to continue throughout the winter months. As always, construction is dependent on weather conditions and other factors.
Please be aware of icy conditions on the roadways and bridges.
