Weekly Construction Update & Road Closure/Detour Information – February 13, 2020

Weekly Construction Update

During construction of the Brosterhous Road roundabout, the City will distribute weekly project updates.

Murphy Corridor Improvements is a priority project that greatly improves and increases connectivity and safety in Southeast Bend for neighborhoods, the traveling public, bicyclists, and pedestrians. The project will significantly improve emergency medical services and fire response times in several critical neighborhoods of Southeast Bend. The end result will be both improved cardiac survivability and faster lifesaving fire operations for those citizens.

The City hosted an open house on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, to share project staging, traffic impacts and detours, and the construction timeline on the Brosterhous Road roundabout. The exhibits presented at the open house are available on the City’s project page at www.bendoregon.gov/MurphyProject at the bottom of the page under “Documents”.

Murphy Corridor Improvements Project roundabout intersection upgrades at Brosterhous Road are underway.
