North Interceptor Sewer Project Public Notice of Construction – August 22, 2019

Please be advised that construction of the North Interceptor Sewer Line Project is anticipated to begin in your neighborhood the week of August 26, 2019. The North Interceptor Sewer Line Project is an important project that will help the City of Bend meet anticipated sewer demands. The large diameter sewer transmission line for Bend’s north side will allow the City to decommission pump stations, increase sewer capacity and create the necessary connection for the future East Interceptor.

The scope of work for this phase of the project includes work from Pioneer Loop Road to the City of Bend Water Reclamation Facility.  Work will include, but is not limited to, traffic control, erosion control, clearing and grubbing, drilling, blasting, excavation for and installation of sewer pipe and surface restoration.  Those in close proximity to the blasting will be contacted again no later than 48 hours prior to blasting. 

All work is scheduled to be within Deschutes County right-of-way or the temporary construction easements established for the project.  While the intent is to minimize disruptions, we thank you in advance for your patience during the construction activities.  

You may experience some traffic delays and inconveniences during this time however you will always have access to your property. We thank you for your cooperation and patience.  We also request that when driving in the vicinity of the work area, you follow and obey the construction signage for your safety and for the safety of the workers.  Please provide particular consideration to pets, property, children, and yourselves by limiting activities to only areas outside the work area.  

Our scheduled work hours are Monday-Friday from 7a.m. – 6 p.m. with the possibility of extended hours depending on work requirements.  During the course of the project, it may be necessary to work Saturday and Sunday.  In those instances, we will reach out and provide specific updates.
