North Interceptor Sewer Project Update – October 4, 2018

October Project Update

Current Activities:

• Crews are conducting exploratory work to gather information about existing features, utilities, and existing geology in the area.

• Agents from Universal Field Services are contacting property owners to request access to their property.

• The project team is working to establish the preferred alignment of the transmission line.

Upcoming Activities:

• The City will host an open house before any construction work begins.

• The first phase of construction will occur near the North Unit Main Canal (in conjunction to the Plant Interceptor Rehabilitation Project) and is anticipated to occur between December 2018-April 2019. Specific construction details will be shared with each property owner directly impacted by this work and through additional project updates to the group as a whole.

• Pipe line installation from the North Unit Main Canal to the Water Reclamation Facility is anticipated to begin in April 2019
