Purcell Boulevard and Butler Market Road intersection :
The City added left turn lanes and adjusted traffic signal heads on the north and south legs . This adjustment will decrease delays for traffic approaching the signal from the north and south.
Flashing yellow arrow signals have been added to the left turn lanes on the east and west legs of the intersection. The added signals will decrease delays for traffic turning left off of Butler Market Road and onto Purcell Boulevard.
The intersection adjustments are intended to improve traffic flow which have been affected by detours associated with the Empire Corridor Improvements Project. These improvements will remain in place after Phase 1 of this project is completed.
Rock Park Drive and NE Purcell:
In an effort to reduce the number of drivers trying to cut through Lava Ridges Subdivision, a “No Outlet” sign will be placed at the intersection.
18th and Brinson:
Crosswalk installed. This will provide a safe crossing across 18th Street for both walkers and bikers.
