Learn two simple skills that can help save a life
Bend Fire & Rescue offers free monthly Hands-Only CPR and Stop the Bleed training sessions at the Bend Fire Training Center, 63377 NE Jamison St. (behind the North Fire Station).
Hands-Only CPR (5:30 – 6:30 p.m.) teaches what to expect when calling 911, how to perform CPR correctly and effectively, and what happens when first responders arrive.
Stop the Bleed (6:30 – 7:30 p.m.) teaches participants how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and take immediate action to control it until help arrives.
Both classes are held on the first Wednesday of every month and are open to individuals, schools and workplaces. Space is limited to 25 participants per class, so registration is encouraged. One RSVP reserves your spot for the evening. Attend the Hands-Only CPR class, stay for both classes, or leave after CPR if you don’t plan to attend Stop the Bleed.
Please note: The Hands-Only CPR class is for education only and does not provide CPR certification. If you need certification, it is available through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
