Wells Acres Road will be closed at Butler Market Road Starting Monday, May
11
TRAFFIC CHANGE
Beginning May 11 through mid-August, Wells Acres Road will be closed at Butler
Market Road. Purcell Boulevard will serve as the designated detour route.
Butler Market Road will remain open to eastbound traffic only.
The public is encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted detours and allow extra
travel time when in the area. View the detour map, and sign up for
construction updates at bendoregon.gov/butler-wells.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Progress on the Butler Market Road corridor has reached the stage where
construction of the roundabout at Wells Acres Road and Butler Market Road can
be begin. To complete this work, access to Wells Acres Road will be closed at
Butler Market Road beginning May 11 through mid-August. Please use Purcell
Boulevard to access Wells Acres Road. Butler Market Road will remain open to
eastbound traffic.

PROJECT BACKGROUND
Improvements at the Butler Market Road and Wells Acres Road intersection have
long been a priority for the surrounding neighborhoods. The new single‑lane
roundabout is designed to improve safety and traffic flow for all modes of
travel. Additional key route upgrades will create a safer, more accessible
bike and pedestrian corridor along Butler Market Road. Sewer system
improvements are also being completed concurrently to increase efficiency,
reduce construction impacts and make the best use of project resources.
