Stories of Belonging: Arab, Muslim & South Asian

Stories of Belonging, hosted by Shararah films, will feature a short-film screening of “American Jedi: The Salman Hamdani Story,” immediately followed by a personal reflection by a local Ground Zero firefighter and hero. The event will also feature a community panel, representing different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, that will share perspectives on immigration, belonging, and building community in Central Oregon.
Attendees of the event will be invited to engage with the speakers and panelists, and free Persian food will be provided by Noosh.
Note: the short-film focuses on the events of 9/11.
