Within 10 days of receiving a ticket, you have the following options:

Pay Parking Ticket/Citation:

• Tickets not paid within 10 days of issuance will be considered unpaid. Administrative fees will be added if the citation remains unpaid after 30 days.
• Tickets unpaid past 60 days will accrue a second administrative fee and might be sent to collections and additional penalties will be added.
• Learn more about alternative ways to pay besides paying by Credit Card.

Hint: DO NOT pay your citation if you want to appeal it.

Appeal a Parking Citation:

• You have 10 calendar days following the issue date of the citation to file an appeal and request an administrative hearing to resolve your parking citation.
• Learn more about the Appeals Process.
• If you are requesting a secondary review of an Administrative Hearing Decision please use the Appeal Form and email it to parkingappeals@bendoregon.gov Once submitted you will receive notification from the Municipal Court about next steps.

You have 10 days to appeal your parking citation and request a hearing.

City of Bend Municipal Code Chapter 6.25.000 allows individuals to appeal the issuance of UNPAID parking tickets within 10 days of the issue date. You can appeal your citation online or use the Parking Citation Appeal Form to submit your appeal to the City of Bend Parking Services Division, 61 NW Oregon Avenue, Ste. 104, Bend, OR 97701.

Choosing either option does NOT waive your right to a court trial. If a citation can't be resolved during the administrative hearing, a trial at Municipal Court can be requested. Additional Court Fees may apply.

• Lack of knowledge of regulations
• Other vehicles were also parking improperly
• Lack of space
• Unread or misunderstood signs
• Parking only for short period of time
• Failure to display parking permit
• Lost citation or forgetfulness, are NOT grounds to appeal a citation.

PARKING CITATION DISCOUNTS

The City of Bend offers significant discounts on early citation payments for "Overtime" citations. Please see the table below to determine how you can save big on your citation payment.

The following administrative fees are added if parking citations remain unpaid:

• $15 administrative fee at 30 days after issue date
• $15 administrative fee at 60 days after issue date

Important to know:

• If a parking citation remains unpaid for longer than 60 days it is sent to a collection agency and a 25% fee is added.
• A vehicle with 5 or more unpaid citations, or with $250 in outstanding parking citations, might be subject to immobilization
• An additional fee might apply to remove an immobilization device.

HABITUAL OFFENDER FEES

Don't be that guy or gal! The penalty for repeated parking violations within any calendar year are steep and can be avoided by following parking rules and regulations.

To ensure you do not receive a citation or collection notice for a vehicle you no longer own, you must notify the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) The DMV will update their records. You can find more information here.
