15th & Ferguson Roundabout Project
To improve safety and increase efficiency, the City of Bend will design and build a single lane roundabout at the intersection of Ferguson Road and SE 15th Street.
PROJECT OPEN HOUSE
- Thursday, Feb 5, 2026 ⋅ 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Larkspur Community Center
1600 SE Reed Market Rd.
The community is invited to attend this informational open house to learn about the project design and schedule, meet the project design team and ask questions. This is a drop in style event. There is no formal presentation.
Can’t make it in person? The open house materials are also available on this website. (below)
Planned improvements include a new single‑lane roundabout. This recommendation has been thoroughly evaluated to ensure it works seamlessly with the full suite of Reed Market corridor projects, creating a safer and more efficient roadway for all users.

Join us for an open house to learn more about the 30% design plans for the future roundabout at Ferguson Road and 15th Street. If you can’t make it in person, the same information is available here.
Just a quick reminder: the project is still in early design, so details, dates, and renderings may change as the work continues.

What’s being proposed
The new single‑lane roundabout is designed to improve safety, keep traffic moving, and support future growth in the area.
The roundabout will be built about 140 feet south of the existing intersection. This shift was needed to safely reconnect Ferguson Street by improving the sharp turns that exist today.

The roundabout will also be slightly higher than 15th Street to reduce the steep slope on Sherwood Forest Drive and avoid impacts to underground utilities.
Significant earthwork will be needed due to the existing rock outcropping on both sides of 15th Street.

What it will look like
The roundabout will match the style of others in Bend, with:
- Asphalt driving surface
- Red decorative concrete in the splitter islands and truck apron
- Standard concrete curbs and sidewalks
A multi‑use path on the west side of 15th Street will follow a gentle, meandering route and cross Sherwood Forest Drive. New lighting will improve visibility, and simple landscaping will be added with room for potential future art.

How this fits into the bigger picture
The city plans its transportation projects as a unified system, coordinating upgrades to roads, transit, bike routes, and pedestrian paths so each improvement strengthens the overall network. This approach makes travel safer and smoother while building a more connected, accessible, and resilient system for the long term. Learn more about the Transportation System Plan.
