Wells Acres Road will be closed at Butler Market Road Starting Monday, May 11

Crews are making steady progress on the Butler Market & Wells Acres Roundabout
and Key Route Project. Beginning May 11, Wells Acres Road will be closed at
Butler Market Road until about mid-August. Purcell Boulevard will serve as the
designated detour route. Butler Market Road will remain open to eastbound
traffic only.
This phase will focus on constructing the single-lane roundabout at the
intersection of Butler Market Road and Wells Acres Road.
The public is encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted detours and allow extra
travel time when in the area. Learn more and sign up for construction updates

Improvements at the Butler Market Road and Wells Acres Road intersection have
long been a priority for the surrounding neighborhoods. The new single‑lane
roundabout is designed to improve safety and traffic flow for all modes of
travel. Additional key route upgrades will create a safer, more accessible
bike and pedestrian corridor along Butler Market Road. Sewer system
improvements are also being completed concurrently to increase efficiency,
reduce construction impacts and make the best use of project resources.
