Weekly Road Report for the Week of June 15 – 21
SE Wilson Avenue
SE Wilson Avenue between SE Centennial Street and SE 9th Street for railroad, street, and sidewalk infrastructure installation – Full road and sidewalk closure with detour is in place.
Safety Warning:
The road and sidewalks are closed. The railroad crossing warning systems are out of service. This area is unsafe. Do NOT enter.
Estimated closure from April 27th to Early July.
NE 18th Street
NE 18th Street at the intersection with the Yeoman Road extension will have roadway and pedestrian improvements.
Northbound Lane closure with detour (southbound accessible) June 15 – July 30.
Cascade Cycling Classic (Special Event)
Event taking place Sunday, June 21 from 11 am – 8 pm. Various Road closures in Downtown Bend:
- NW Wall Street between NW Franklin Avenue and NW Minnesota Avenue.
- NW Franklin Avenue between NW Wall Street and NW Lava Road.
- NW Minnesota Avenue between NW Wall Street and NW Lava Road.
- NW Bond Street between NW Franklin Avenue and NW Minnesota Avenue.
- NW Lava Road between NW Franklin Avenue and NW NW Minnesota Avenue.
2026 Street Preservation
Slurry seal will be completed this week within streets in NW Bend. Various Streets across the City will have this work occurring with lane & street closures during its duration (expect delays).
Asphalt restoration will take place June 8 through July 17. Work will begin as night work and transition to daytime hours.

NW Crossing Farmers Market (Special Event)
Special event occurring every Saturday, May 30 – September 26. Multiple road closures related to event (listed below).
- NW Crossing Drive between Mount Washington Drive and NW Crossing Drive (Circle)
- NW John Freemont between NW Ordiway Avenue and NW Fort Clatsop Street
- NW Fort Clatsop Street between NW Ordway Avenue and NW John Freemont Street
Franklin Avenue Improvements
This initial work is focused on replacing aging water pipes from 1st Street to 4th Street. See impacts below.
- Night work scheduled from May 18 – June 12, 7 PM – 7 AM
- Beginning June 15th, work will transition to daytime work with lane reductions and flagging required to maintain traffic through the corridor, alternate routes should be taken to avoid delays

NE Lytle Street
NE Lytle Street between NE Revere Avenue and NE Quimby Avenue for a water main replacement.
Full road closure with limited access, May 15 – June 15, 7 AM – 4 PM
Windsor Drive
Windsor Drive between Brosterhous Road and Woodside Court for a sewer main installation (part of City Septic to Sewer Program).
Full road closure with local access only, April 27 – End of August
SW Colorado Avenue
SW Colorado Avenue between NW Bond Street and NW Fargo Staats Street for utility work.
Single lane closure with lane shift, April 20 – June 19, 9 AM – 3:30 PM
King Hezekiah and Fargo Sewer Project
Various road closures will be required for the installation of new sewer mains. Road closures listed below:
- Fargo Lane between Perrigan Drive and Orion Drive will be closed with local and emergency access only, April 3 – June 30
- SE King Hezekiah Way between SE 15th Street and King Jehu, June 15 – End of October

NE Bear Creek Road
NE Bear Creek Road between NE Purcell Boulevard and Dean Swift Road will have infrastructure installations.
Full road closure with detour, June 8 – July 10
Ponderosa Street
Ponderosa Street between SW Atwood Ave and Granite Drive will have roadway construction.
Full road closure with detour, June 5 – July 28
Ferguson Road
Ferguson Road between Magnolia Drive and 27th Street will have infrastructure upgrades.
Single lane closure with eastbound traffic only, February 2 – June 17
Magnolia Lane
Magnolia Lane between Hearthstone Lane and Ferguson Road will have infrastructure improvements.
Full road closure with local access only, October 6, 2025 – June 17
Butler Market Corridor Improvements
This project will construct a new single lane roundabout at the intersection of Butler Market and Wells Acres Road, and pedestrian and bicycle improvements on Butler Market between the 8th Street roundabout to Brinson Blvd.
Roadway impacts:
- Note: Butler Market Road between NE Brinson Boulevard and NE 8th Street will have a westbound lane closure with detour.
- Butler Market is open to eastbound traffic only between Broken Bow Drive and Brinson Blvd.
- Wells Acres is closed at the intersection with Butler Market until August. (Butler Market remains open to eastbound traffic.) Use Purcell Blvd as an alternate route.
- Shepard Road will have intermittent closures at the intersection with Wells Acres. Detour signage direct traffic to NE Canyon Park Drive.
Construction is well underway and is expected to be completed in fall of 2026.

NW Harriman Street
NW Harriman Street between NW Kearney Avenue and NW Greenwood Avenue for infrastructure work associated with the Deschutes County Courthouse.
Full road closure through June 26.

Intersection of SE 15th Street and Ferguson Road will have roundabout construction.
Full intersection closure with detour begins June 22
Criterion Race Series (special event)
This special event is a five-week race event occurring every Wednesday from June 24 – July 22.
The event will close a few NW City streets (listed below). A detour will be in place for the event.
- NW Crossing Drive between NW Elwood Lane and NW Skyline Ranch Road
- NW Elwood Lane between NW Crossing Drive and NW Lolo Drive
- NW Lolo Drive between NW Elwood Lane and NW Skyline Ranch Road
- NW Skyline Ranch Road between NW Lolo Drive and NW Crossing Drive
Work schedules are dependent on weather conditions and other factors. Always exercise increased caution within construction zones. Drivers should use designated detour routes. Nearby residential streets are for local traffic only.
