Why This Work Matters

Transportation systems connect people to communities, schools, businesses, parks, transit services, and destinations across jurisdictional boundaries. Effective transportation planning requires coordination among local governments, transportation agencies, educational institutions, and community partners.

The BMPO Technical Advisory Committee provides a forum for technical review and collaboration, helping ensure transportation plans, projects, and investments are based on sound analysis and support a safe, efficient, and connected regional transportation system. Through its work, the committee helps shape long-range transportation planning for the BMPO area.
