One Night Closure of Butler Market Road to Complete Paving on Monday, August 17

On Monday, Aug. 17 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., the City of Bend will temporarily close NE Butler Market Road between NE Eighth Street and NE Brinson Boulevard as part of the NE Butler Market and NE Wells Acres Roundabout and Key Route Project Phase 1. Traffic will be temporarily closed in both directions to complete paving work. This work will be completed at night to reduce impacts on traffic.

During the nightwork closure, the NE Eighth Street roundabout will remain open, and local access from NE Eighth Street to NE Huettl Lane will be maintained. Access will be closed to NE Wells Acres Road at NE Butler Market Road. This nighttime work will include paving and construction noise. Sound levels will be within the designated decibel levels of a construction zone. A detour will be in place on NE Boyd Acres Road and NE Brinson Boulevard.

The westbound closure of Butler Market Road from Broken Bow Drive to Brinson Boulevard continues with Phase 1 construction through the end of September 2026.

This project includes completing sewer system upgrades and constructing a new single-lane roundabout and key route improvements to enhance traffic flows and safety for all users on the NE Butler Market Road corridor from NE Boyd Acres Road to NE Brinson Boulevard. Phase 1 of this project is currently on schedule to be completed by October 2026.

2020 Transportation GO Bond: The project is partly funded by the voter-approved 2020 Transportation GO Bond. Find information about all the GO Bond projects and their current status on the GO Bond Dashboard at bendoregon.gov/gobond.
