Standards and Specifications

The City of Bend Design Standards and Construction Specifications include the design criteria and construction standards for all public infrastructures in the City of Bend and apply to both City Capital Improvement Projects and private development projects.

CITY OF BEND
30-DAY NOTICE OF ENGINEERING
STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS UPDATE

The City of Bend issues this public notice pursuant to City of Bend municipal code section 3.10.010 (B), that the City Manager’s designee, the City Engineer, has amended the technical provisions and standards of the City of Bend Standards and Specifications. This public notice of the amendments is posted in city hall for 30 days prior to the effective date of these amendments. This document is effective 30 days after the administrative adoption date.

The changes include:

  • New section on Private Development Engineering Permitting and related changes to support new Senate Bill 974 requirements for engineering plan reviews
  • Revised approved tree list
  • Updates to underground injection controls
  • Various other clarifications and updates

Revisions in this notice will be effective May 31, 2026.
