Newport Corridor Improvements Project Update – junio 25, 2021

LA SEGURIDAD ES LO PRIMERO

Hot times call for more water. During a site walk today, I noticed that each crew member had water in hand or nearby. What a great reminder that we need to ensure that we all are drinking more water as the sweltering heat continues and remind those around us to do the same. 

Temporary work hours: junio 28, 2021, through julio 2, 2021, from 5:00 AM–3:30 PM

As temperatures are expected to reach 105° to 111°, the City is following recommendations from Oregon OSHA and the NWS to adjust work hours to the coolest part of the day. In addition, crew members have been instructed to drink one cup of water every 15 minutes and to monitor each other for heat exhaustion. 

KIOSCO DE INFORMACIÓN SOBRE LAS OBRAS

On Martes, junio 29, the City will continue its informational kiosk in front of Newport Market from noon to 1:30 PM. Over the past month, we have had the opportunity to provide additional details of the upcoming changes to the Newport Ave corridor. Please stop by and meet with our team for any questions regarding this project.

Obras de mejora del corredor Nashville/Newport: calendario de construcción – Tramo 1

Week of junio 25–julio 1

  • Concrete will be poured into the planter wall forms on Nashville Ave.
  • Installation of irrigation sleeves for the stormwater planters.
  • Sewer service is connected on Newport Ave, and the bypass pumps are being removed. 

DESVÍOS EN VIGOR

  • Avenida Nashville, desde la avenida Newport hasta Pageant Park
  • Newport Ave. from NW 7th street to NW 10th street

NOTAS GENERALES DEL PROYECTO

  • Se mantendrá el acceso a todos los comercios de la zona situados a lo largo del corredor de obras. Se siguen instalando nuevos carteles con el mensaje «Abierto».
  • Se puede acceder a los comercios situados entre la calle 9 y la calle 11 a través del callejón trasero y las zonas de aparcamiento traseras.
  • Por favor, no entre en la zona de obras antes, durante ni después del horario de trabajo.
  • Daytime work hours are in effect from 7:00 AM-5:30 PM; with the exception of junio 28, 2021, through julio 2, 2021, from 5:00 AM– 3:30 PM.
  • Hay muchas obras en la zona y en toda la ciudad de Bend. Conduzca con precaución.
