The Newport Corridor Improvements Project Begins Next Week

Hello and welcome to the Newport Corridor Improvement Project outreach information. The project team will be sending out regular project updates over the next several months to keep you informed of project progress, schedule, and construction notifications. RESUMEN DEL PROYECTO

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE – WEEK OF MARCH 18-MARCH 24

10^th Street Waterline work

• Night work at the NW 10^th Street and Newport Avenue intersection will be initiated Domingo night, Marzo 21. Work hours will be from 8:00 PM-7:00 AM, Domingo through Jueves, Marzo 25.
• This closure is needed for the replacement of an aging water line.
• Business accesses will be maintained from NW Ogden, NW Milwaukee, and alleyways between NW 9^th Street and NW 11^th Street.
• Newport Avenue will be open to through traffic during daytime hours.
• Detours will route traffic onto NW 9th Street and NW 11^th Street.
• Following the night work, short segments of NW 10^th Street will be closed for day work for approximately two weeks. See the ‘Work Zone’ in the image below.

Mejoras en el corredor de Newport – Tramo 1

• The next phase of work is set to begin the week of Abril 5. Segment 1 will be daytime work. Work hours will be from 7:00 AM-5:30 PM.
• This segment of work will include the closure of the NW 9^th Street and NW Newport Avenue roundabout and closure of NW Nashville Ave.
• Updates to this project will be provided in the weeks to come.

COMUNICACIÓN DEL PROYECTO

• Se mantendrá el acceso a todos los comercios.
• EMS, buses, and many other delivery/service providers have been included on the project outreach information distribution list.
• Por favor, ayúdenos a informar a sus clientes y al personal de reparto sobre los desvíos y los cortes de tráfico.
