Olney Avenue Project Update – Marzo 28, 2025

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Marzo 24– Abril 4 

Work Area 1: NW Portland Avenue/NE Olney Avenue from the river to NE First Street

Crews are installing the new 18” waterline on NW Portland Avenue through the NW Wall Street/NE Olney Avenue intersection. Temporary water bypasses are being utilized to ensure businesses have water throughout construction. Crews are prepping for installation of the sewer force main installation happening next week.  Utilities relocation work will continue. Excavation work will continue along Olney Avenue, between NW Wall Street and NE First Street. Preparation for the sewer line boring under the railroad begins the first week of Abril. 

The City’s Westside Pump Station Project, located within the Olney Project area, has completed sewer pump upgrades and is finishing backfilling and paving in their excavated work area. 

The intersection of NW Wall Street/NE Olney Avenue is anticipated to remain closed through Mayo 2025. 

Work Area 2: NE First Street/NE Olney Avenue Intersection to the east side of NE Second Street/NE Olney Avenue

Crews are installing the new sewer line and connecting manholes.  Temporary sewer bypasses are being utilized to ensure businesses have sewer service throughout construction.

ACTUALIZACIONES DE ACCESO

• The NE Olney Avenue/NE Second Street Intersection is open
• The NE Olney Avenue/NE First Street Intersection is closed for sewer improvements through Abril. All businesses remain open and can be accessed by driveways on NE First Street and NE Second Street.
• NW Portland Avenue between NW Steidl Road and NW Wall Street is closed to all vehicles through Abril 18. All business, resident, tenant, and delivery access needs to utilize NW Vermont Place
• A pedestrian and bicycle temporary access route for the Deschutes Rail Trail crossing is being routed around the project work area.

NOTAS GENERALES DEL PROYECTO

Se mantiene el acceso a todos los negocios situados a lo largo de la zona de obras. Todos los negocios están abiertos.

No entre en la zona de obras cerrada antes, durante ni después del horario laboral. Manténgase alejado de las zonas de obras cerradas y de la maquinaria. Hay zanjas abiertas, maquinaria pesada y otros peligros en toda la zona de obras cerrada.

El horario laboral diurno es de 7:00 a. m. a 6:00 p. m.

Ruido, vibraciones y polvo durante el horario laboral habitual.
