Weekly Road and Traffic Report for the Week of julio 22 – 28

For the Week of julio 22 – 28:

• Century Drive between SW Donovan Avenue and SW Taylor Court for curb and paving installations, single lane closure with flagging, julio 25 – Aug. 9, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

• Colorado Avenue between NW Sizemore Road Street and NW Lava Road for a sewer service installation, single lane closure with lane shift (expect delays), julio 22 – 26, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

• NE Eighth Street between NE Butler Market Road and NE Revere Avenue will have tree trimming to protect electrical facilities, intermittent lane closures with lane shifts, julio 22 – 25.

• American Lane between Brentwood Avenue and Brosterhous Road will have curb installation, single lane closure with lane shift, julio 24 – 26.

• Eagle Road between Beall Drive and NE Wells Acres Road for franchise utility work, single lane closure with flagging, julio 25 – 26.

• Awbrey Butte Waterline Improvements Project, Phase 2 – This project will provide water distribution system upgrades to the Awbrey Butte area with eight interrelated water improvement subprojects. For more information, visit the Awbrey Butte Waterline Improvements Project website.
  • Saginaw Avenue and College Way Intersection: Potential intermittent flagging for installation of sidewalk ramps.
  • Saginaw Avenue from College Way to West Hills Avenue: One-Way (Eastbound) Local access. Westbound traffic to access College Way via Portland Avenue.
  • Saginaw Avenue from West Hills Avenue to Juniper Street: Closed to through traffic for storm drain system construction and waterline installation. Detour to use Quincy Avenue and Juniper Street.

Ongoing Closures:

• NE Quimby Avenue between NE Fifth Street and NE Seventh Street will have a water main replacement, full road closure with local access only, julio 8 – mid Septiembre.

• Street Preservation – Various higher order streets within Bend will have repaving completed. Valve adjustments will begin this week. The work will primarily take place during nighttime hours. Full street closures with limited local access only during its duration (expect delays). julio 15 – Sept. 17 (weather dependent). Learn more at the Street Preservation webpage.

• SW Simpson Avenue between NW Mt. Washington Drive and NW Century Drive will have a water main installation, full eastbound lane closure with detour, julio 8 – Aug. 7.

• Parrell Road between Badger Road and Silver Sage Street will continue infrastructure improvements, southbound lane closure with detour (northbound will remain open), begins julio 1.

• NE Butler Market Road between Eagle Road and Clyde Lane for frontage improvements, westbound lane closure with detour, junio 24 – Aug. 19.

• 2024 Criterion Race Series – This special event is a four-week race event occurring every Miércoles from julio 3 – julio 24, 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. The event will close a few NW City streets (listed below). A detour will be in place for the event.
  • NW Crosby Drive between NW Elwood Lane and NW Crossing Drive.
  • NW Crossing Drive between NW Crosby Drive and NW Lolo Drive.
  • NW Elwood Lane between NW Crosby Drive and NW Lolo Drive.
  • NW Lolo Drive between NW Elwood Lane and NW Crossing Drive.

• NW Crossing Farmers Market – special event occurring every Sábado junio 1 – Oct. 12. Multiple road closures related to event (listed below).
  • NW Crossing Drive between Mount Washington Drive and NW Crossing Drive (Circle).
  • NW John Freemont between NW Ordiway Avenue and NW Fort Clatsop Street.
  • NW Fort Clatsop Street between NW Ordway Avenue and NW John Freemont Street.

• Silver Sage Sewer Project – The yearly project includes installing gravity sewer mains and sewer laterals to allow properties to decommission their septic systems and connect to the public sewer system. Tentatively starting on Mayo 6, 2024: Silver Sage Street, Benham Road between Murphy Road and Rae Road, Concho Street, Loy Lane and the North-end of Tapadera Street will be closed with tentative plans for reopening in mid-Octubre 2024. • SW 18th Street between SW Simpson Avenue and SW Forest Ridge Avenue for infrastructure improvements, full road closure with detour, begins Marzo 25.

• Bend North Corridor, ODOT Project – Infrastructure improvements along Highway 97 from Empire Avenue to Grandview Drive. Highway 97 will also be realigned to allow free flowing movement. Various types of traffic control will be implemented during construction. Expect additional delays throughout this segment of the corridor. Expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
  • Empire onramp northbound will be redirected toward the newly built Highway 97 and connects to the new Highway 97 alignment.
  • Southbound Highway 97 will be transitioned to the new alignment, planned to open the south bound lanes of the new Highway 97 alignment julio 26.

• Cooley Road between Highway 20 and Hunnel Road for infrastructure and roadway improvements, full road closure with detour, began Dec. 26.

• Boyd Acres Road between Brinson Boulevard and Builders Street will have frontage improvements for a private development, lane closure with lane shift, Aug. 7-14.
