Weekly Road and Traffic Report for the Week of Septiembre 23 – 29

For the Week of Septiembre 23 – 29:

  • Brosterhous Road between SE Third Street and Alstrup Road for infrastructure improvements, single lane closures with lane shifts, Sept. 24 – Oct. 22.
  • Intersection of Wall Street and Portland Avenue for tree trimming, four-way flagging of intersection, Sept. 23, 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • NE Eighth Street between NE Butler Market Road and NE Bennington Way for tree trimming, four-way roundabout flagging, Sept. 24, 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Murphy Road between Brookswood Boulevard and S Highway 97 (Business) for striping, single lane closure with flagging, Sept. 18.
  • NW Arizona Avenue between NW Staats Street and NW Sisemore Street for paving, alternating lane closures, Sept. 24.

Ongoing Closures:

  • SE Daly Estates Drive between SE Capella Place and SE Reed Market Road for a sewer main installation, full road closure with local access only, Sept. 9 – Oct. 18.
  • SW Century Drive between SW Simpson Avenue and SW Colorado Avenue for a mini roundabout construction, full road closure with detour, Sept. 9 – Nov. 15.
  • NE Lytle Street between NE Quimby Avenue and NE Penn Avenue for a water main replacement, full road closure with local access only, Sept. 4 – 26.
  • Awbrey Butte Waterline Improvements Project, Phase 2 – This project will provide water distribution system upgrades to the Awbrey Butte area with eight interrelated water improvement subprojects. For more information, visit the Awbrey Butte Waterline Improvements Project website.
    • Trenton Avenue: Juniper Street to 12th Street: Local access only for installation of water line work. Traffic detours using Iowa Avenue and West Hills Avenue.
    • Saginaw Avenue: West Hills Avenue to Juniper Street: Local access only for paving on Sept. 23.
    • Portland Avenue: Awbrey Street to Steidl Street: Single Lane closure under flaggers for franchise utility (GAS) work.
  • Midtown Crossing Project (Second Street work) – A multiphase project that will replace the water main from Greenwood Avenue to Franklin Avenue in preparation for the full reconstruction occurring next spring. Phase 1 occurs from Aug. 15 – Oct. 15. Road closures with local access will occur in its entirety. Current road section work listed below.     • Second Street between Greenwood Avenue and NE Hawthorne Avenue.
  • NW Harriman Street between NW Kearney Avenue and NW Greenwood Avenue for infrastructure work associated with the Deschutes County Courthouse, full road closure, began julio 24.
  • Boyd Acres Road between Brinson Boulevard and Builders Street will have frontage improvements for a private development, lane closure with lane shift, Aug. 7 – Sept. 27.
  • NE Quimby Avenue between NE Fifth Street and NE Seventh Street will have a water main replacement, full road closure with local access only, julio 8 – late Sept.
  • NW Crossing Farmers Market – Special event occurring every Sábado junio 1 – Oct. 12. Multiple road closures related to event (listed below).
    • NW Crossing Drive between Mount Washington Drive and NW Crossing Drive (Circle).
    • NW John Freemont Street between NW Ordiway Avenue and NW Fort Clatsop Street.
    • NW Fort Clatsop Street between NW Ordway Avenue and NW John Freemont Street.
  • Silver Sage Sewer Project – The yearly project includes installing gravity sewer mains and sewer laterals to allow properties to decommission their septic systems and connect to the public sewer system. Tentatively starting on Mayo 6, 2024: Silver Sage Street, Benham Road between Murphy Road and Rae Road, Concho Street, Loy Lane, and the North-end of Tapadera Street will be closed with tentative plans for reopening in mid-Octubre 2024.
