Businesses can significantly reduce pollution from manufacturing, usage, and disposal by joining the free EcoBiz certification program. Plus, the City of Bend offers a $250 rebate to eligible businesses that achieve certification!

EcoBiz certifies Eco-Friendly Auto Repair & Body Shops, Landscapers, and Car Washes in Oregon. Certified businesses meet high standards to reduce toxins, prevent pollution, and protect the environment. By getting certified, businesses can be part of a statewide map of partners.

The EcoBiz business certification is a FREE and voluntary program that helps businesses reduce toxins, prevent pollution, and protect the environment. EcoBiz staff guide businesses through the certification process, which includes initial site visits, steps to achieve certification, FREE spill kits and a final inspection for certification.

The City of Bend is sponsoring in-person visits with EcoBiz staff for businesses to obtain the Statewide EcoBiz certification! In addition, the City also offers a $250 rebate for certified business locations.

Benefits of Certification

Certified businesses are featured on the EcoBiz website and social media posts. They also get access to the certification logo for use.

Eligibility

The EcoBiz certification is approved by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality and is valid for three years. It is open to automotive businesses (general repair, body and paint, radiator repair, and car wash) and landscaping businesses (design, installation, maintenance, irrigation, and specialty).
